Admissions - Policies and Procedures

Welcome to The St. Michael School Admission page. It is our hope that by browsing our web site you will become better acquainted with our approach and mission. Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make. After viewing our site, if you wish to take the next step in the admissions process, please call for a personal tour.

How to apply: Admission Application

1. Make an appointment for an individual school tour.
Contact Kristin Kuchem at 721-4422 or kkuchem@stmichaelschool.org to schedule a tour of the facility and see what sets our program apart. It is best to tour when class is in session in order to observe our collaborative environment and witness children engaged in the learning process.
2. Fill out and return the following with the application fee:
a) Application for Admission with $100 non-refundable application fee for Junior Kindergarten through 8th grade.
b) Record Release Form
3. Schedule a time for a student visit and a parent conference.
4. Admissions Decisions

Admissions decisions are made in March with late admissions per availability. The names of qualified children for whom there are no openings are placed on a waiting list. Should an opening occur, parents are notified.

Annual Giving

The St. Michael School Annual Giving Fund (tax deductible contributions) provides income critical to the operation of and improvements in the school program and facilities. A small portion of the Annual Giving Fund supports operating expenses to keep tuition increases to a minimum. A major portion provides for improvements including resource and library material, computer hardware, physical education equipment, and classroom facilities. Over the years The St. Michael School has established a pattern of 95-100% participation by the parents and Board of Trustees. Parents, friends, alumni, grandparents, and faculty support the Fund.
