Today was the first 8th grade graduation from The St. Michael School of Clayton.
In one of the graduate speeches given this morning at graduation it was stated,

“ St. Michael’s allowed me to grow into a responsible young man that you see at this moment. This school has opened my eyes to new opportunities and the teachers have helped me grow into the young adult I am today. I love this school because at this school everyone sees my potential and has allowed me to soar. This school has been the best thing that has happened to me.”

I couldn’t have said it any better. Congratulations to our graduates!

Our first 8th grade graduation is a very exciting step for SMSOC.
We look forward to our middle school growing and maturing in the next several years.
Our middle school, 5th-8th grade, will have 65 students in the 2012-2013 school year.

As previously stated Willie Herndon will be moving on to Austin, Texas with his beautiful wife, Francesca. We wish Willie much love and luck in his new home. We will all miss Willie’s warm ways and huge heart. Of course we will certainly miss his expert dancing techniques.

Lauren Sheehan will also be leaving us since she will be having her first baby in November. Lauren has been a wonderful asset to our program and we hope she will visit often with baby Sheehan.
