$10.00 fro the purchase of each ticket will be donated to The St. Michael School of Clayton’s Tri-Art Camp. Money raised will be used to support worthy athletes to participate in the Tri-Art camp.
We encourage you to bring your family and your friends to hear Chrissie’s story. We know you and your children will be inspired to learn of Chrissie’s accomplishments and her motivational techniques.
Since Chrissie’s first race as a professional tri-athlete in 2006, she has dominated one of the most demanding sports in the world, winning four Ironman World Triathlon Championships in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2011. Chrissie not only holds four world titles, but she has won each of the thirteen Ironman competitions that she has entered. Adding to the amazement, Chrissie did not begin the Ironman circuit until she was thirty.
Chrissie has a unique story to tell. Adding to her mystique, Chrissie devoted the greater part of her life working for years as a civil servant for the British government and then headed to Nepal for several years to work on improving living conditions. It was here, in Nepal, that Chrissie discovered her passion for cycling as she journeyed on a mountain bike across the Himalayas.
Chrissie’s story is about setting goals, overcoming challenges and positively influencing others. Her story is one every child should hear.
We have two events planned for the day.
12:30 -2:00 p.m. Forest Park Basin: Chrissie Wellington will meet with The St Michael School of Clayton’s Tri-Art summer camp participants: This is a great opportunity for children to be inspired and to learn how to live a healthy and active life. We will be hosting more than 60 children who participate in St Michael School of Clayton’s Tri-Art camp at the Forest Park Grand Basin at Art Hill. This successful camp has been hosted by The St. Michael School of Clayton for nine years and is one of the most premiere summer camps in the St Louis area. Tri-Art Campers will participate in a brief discussion and team building exercises with Chrissie Wellington!
Chrissie will focus on ways to live an active lifestyle through participation in endurance sports and will share more details about the determination, hard work, and perseverance it takes to be successful in any aspect of life.

The backdrop and venue are stunning since it will take place at the city’s crown jewel: Forest Park, around the grand basin and Art Hill.
7:00-8:00 p.m. An Evening with Chrissie Wellington at Chaminade Preparatory School’s Skip Viragh Theater: In attendance will be several hundred participants from not only the metro area but also the Midwest region. Registrants include endurance athletes, student athletes, and individuals looking to be inspired to take the first step in their journey to fitness. Chrissie will share the details about her journey including her struggles as an adolescent to fit in and how these experiences fueled her passion and determination to never set any preconceived limits on herself. She will also discuss the diet, training, and motivational techniques that keep her going through Ironman, one of the world’s most grueling athletic events. This evening event will include Q & A time with the audience. At this event, we can provide plenty of options for one-on-one interviews prior to the start of the event. Chaminade has set aside several rooms, including the black box theater for one-on-one interviews.
