Today, Maris demonstrated that with a little hydrogen peroxide and a couple packets of yeast, you can create a volcano.  Now you will know why your kids are coming home asking for these materials:)  Beware as it not only creates a flow of bubbles but as Maris reports; “it also smells very bad and can stink up a house!”

Kindergarten News and Notes for the week of April 30-May 4, 2012

Dear Kindergarten Families,

The kindergarten field trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 9th. Please mark your calendars at home. We will leave school at 8:45am and return to school around 12:30pm. Our first stop on our field trip will be the Missouri Botanical Gardens. When we go to the garden, the students will see the Japanese Garden, the Chinese Garden, and the maze! After the garden, we will have a picnic lunch at Forest Park.

This week in Spanish class, the students will celebrate Cinco de Mayo. On Wednesday afternoon, we will have a Mexican Folklore. On Thursday, the students will have a pinata party in their Spanish class.

Have a great week and Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!
Ms. Kara
