The 1st-6th Grades volunteered at Kingdom House this morning. The students painted, played games, participated in centers, and interacted with students in the day care center. The students did a great job with the younger children. We are very proud of our wonderful students.

Today we had a wonderful last school day of 2009. We began the day by spending some time with younger students at the Kingdom House Day Care Center. We helped children finger paint, read, and play in the gymnasium. We then had our Wampanoag Feast and enjoyed “Santa Buddies”! We also had our final Friday ticket drawing for 2009 with some special surprises in our prize box.
I will certainly miss this group of spectacular kiddos over break and can’t wait for 2010 to begin! Wishing you, your family, and loved ones a wonderful holiday season and happy new year. Thank you for your involvement this year in second grade and continued support. It’s a true honor to work with such an amazing group of families at SMSOC. See you all next year!
Warmly,
Leah

We had a very fun day today! Today is Andre’s last day with us in the Junior Kindergarten. The JK class made Andre a very special card to say good bye. Andre and his family will be traveling to Brazil next semester! We hope they have a very safe adventure and we look forward to seeing Andre next year in Kindergarten! We also would like to wish everybody a safe and happy holiday! See you all on January 4th.

The fourth grade student made a city map. They are learning expressions to talk about places in the city, ways to get around and things to do in the city. They love to play on the map with toy cars.
