Building Community through Reading Buddies

The St. Michael School has a time honored tradition that we cherish - Reading Buddies. Our students and faculty gather together as a community to read, play games, share snack or lunch. Relationships that form between the older and younger students during these gatherings are rich and genuine. Children look forward to spending time with their reading buddy. In chapel as we honor a birthday boy or girl children regularly raise their hands and state, ” He/she is a Great Reading Buddy.” Reading Buddies are a wonderful way to learn about community. Different ages, different races, religion gather together on a weekly basis to share passions, love and fun. Read More
